Is optical power feedback effective for stable processing?

The thermal lens effect is a basic characteristic of YAG lasers.
It is considered that the thermal lens effect cannot be solved by means of optical power feedback.

Energy density at the processing point is varied due to the thermal lens effect caused by physical change in the YAG rod. It is very difficult to compensate such change in energy density by an electrical control method.
